New Jersey Division of Children’s System of Care (CSOC)/Performcare
CSOC serves children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral health care challenges, developmental and intellectual disabilities, and children with substance use challenges and their families. CSOC provides services based on the needs of the child and family in a family-centered, community-based environment. PerformCare is the Administrative Service Organization (ASO) for CSOC.
New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency
DCP&P (formerly DYFS), is New Jersey’s child protection and child welfare agency. Its mission is to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and to support families. DCP&P is responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect and, if necessary, arranging for the child’s protection and the family’s treatment.
New Jersey Early Intervention System (NJEIS)-NJ Department of Health
NJEIS implements New Jersey’s statewide system of services for infants and toddlers, birth to age three, with developmental delays or disabilities, and their families.
Special Child Health Services (SCHS)-NJ Department of Health
Each county in NJ has a SCHS Case Management Unit. SCHS Case Managers work with the child’s family and physicians to evaluate an affected child’s strengths and needs; and develops an individual service plan for the child and family. They focus on the medical, educational, developmental, social and economic needs of the child and family.
Project CHILD FIND-NJ Department of Education
Project Child Find is a free referral service and public awareness campaign to assist in the identification of unserved/underserved youth with a delay or disability from birth through twenty-one years of age.
