Camp Discovery special needs summer camp Cherry Hill is a social skills day camp for children ages 3 to 14 years old. The overall goal of Camp Discovery is to teach and implement age appropriate social skills. This is accomplished through a comprehensive curriculum which has been created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) who supervise our camps. Activities and lessons are taught in an applied behavior analysis (ABA) format and conducted by highly trained ABA therapists.
Each week, the camp will operate under a different theme. Some example themes include bugs & insects, aquarium & ocean creatures, plants & nutrition, and sharing & friendship. Each theme will be accompanied by sensory crafts, games, art projects, social skill building, and outside time. Activities include music, arts & crafts, science exploration, Minecraft, and indoor and outdoor games.
